PTE Academic Score Report:
The score report of PTE Academic consists of two types of scoring: overall score and communicative skills scores in listening, reading, speaking and writing.•Overall score: The overall score, ranging between 10-90 points, is based on the candidate’s performance across the test. However, it is not an average calculation of the communicative skills scores.
•Communicative skills scores: These are the scores that a candidate gets in the four communicative skills, i.e. listening, reading, writing and speaking. The score range for these skills ranges between 10-90 points.

PTE Score Reporting: How to Send PTE Score
Since universities do not accept paper or PDF versions of PTE scores, candidates can send their report via online secure portal set up by PTE. The facility of sending PTE scores to universities is free and comes with not added cost. Following are the steps to send scores online:

•Log in to ‘my PTE account’
•Click on the 'View Score Reports' section.
•Click on 'Send Scores'
•Type the name of chosen institution and select the institution.
•Type the name of chosen course and select the preferred course of study.
•Review the details then scroll down the page and click 'Next' to confirm.
•Repeat for each institution.
What is the PTE scoring system?
The PTE scoring system is based on automated scoring technologies where some of the answers are rated only on the basis of their correctness and incorrectness, while others are based on formal aspects (e.g. word limit of the task) and the quality of response (e.g. fluency and pronunciation). There are two methods of scoring adopted in the PTE exam calculator:
•Correct or incorrect: The candidate gets one point for every correct answer without any negative deduction for an incorrect answer.
•Partial credit: Tasks under this method are scored as correct, partially correct or incorrect. For instance, if the candidate’s response towards a task is correct, full points are given, but if the answer is partly right, some score points are given, and if the response is incorrect, no score is given.
