What you should know before registering for CAEL 2024 online
- Your testing location must be indoors, surrounded by walls, well-lit, with a closed door, and be peaceful and disturbance-free.
- You should be the sole occupant of the testing room.
- There should be no extra stationery on your exam station.
- There should be no study materials within reach.
- You are permitted to bring two tissues, but your proctor must inspect them before the exam begins.
- Taking notes with a pen and paper is not permitted. You must use the ProProctor Scratchpad to take notes.
- Water in a transparent container is the only thing allowed inside
- Food is not permitted.
System prerequisites
- You must read the ProProctor User Guide on the CAEL website before registering for the test.
- Please ensure that you have downloaded the ProProctor application that will be used to give your test.
- Ensure that you have a laptop or desktop computer. The examination cannot be taken on a smartphone or tablet.
- Internet bandwidth of at least 2Mb/s download and 1Mb/s upload is necessary.
- Chrome is the mandatory web browser (current version).
- You'll need a webcam, microphone, and speakers.
- The use of Bluetooth devices, such as wireless speakers, keyboards, and mice, is prohibited.
- A minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 is suggested.
- Windows 8.1 or later, as well as Mac OS 10.13.
- You may not be able to take the test on a corporate laptop unless you request that your company's IT configure it for you.
- Starting the ProProctor application via virtual machines or remote desktop connections is not supported.
How to register for CAEL test?
- Candidates must first register on the official website.
- Students must provide personal identity as well as necessary academic background information throughout the online registration procedure.
- Pick a test location based on their preferences.
- Applicants registering for CAEL must have a valid passport to register.
- It should be reminded that registration for a certain exam date ends three days before the exam.
- Applicants should also be aware that if they need to change the date of their exam, a rescheduling form is available.
