    Scholarships

    2024 Scholarships

    CIC is offering 30% scholarships for onshore students and 20% scholarships for offshore students. This scholarship is available for the June and July intakes.



    2023 Scholarships
    CIC Higher Education is offering a range of scholarship options for new students looking to commence their studies at CIC in 2023. These scholarships will apply for the full duration of the course, conditions apply*. New students will be automatically assessed against criteria for each scholarship. Scholarships will be awarded as fee-reductions applied per semester throughout the course. From time to time CIC may offer special scholarships in addition to those listed below. Under such circumstances, those special scholarships will not be offered in conjunction with the scholarships listed below.

    Language Proficiency Scholarship

    Value: 10% of tuition fees for entire course duration

    Courses Applicable: All postgraduate courses of 12 months duration or longer

    Graduate Diploma of Business; Graduate Diploma of Management Information Systems; Master of Business; Master of Business Administration (MBA); Master of Management Information Systems

    Elevated levels of academic performance are often aligned with higher levels of English language proficiency. As part of our scholarship package, we are offering prospective students a scholarship on the basis of their demonstrated English levels that exceed the minimum English language entry requirements. If your overall IELTS test score (or equivalent test) is half a band higher than the course requirement, you will be automatically offered this scholarship. For prospective students without an English test score, other criteria may be used to determine elevated language proficiency. Recipients of this scholarship may also qualify for other awards or scholarships.

    Academic Excellence Scholarship

    Value: 15% of tuition fees for entire course duration

    Courses Applicable: All postgraduate courses of 12 months duration or longer

    In recognition of strong performance in an undergraduate degree in a student’s home country or within Australia, we are offering academic scholarships to students who have achieved an overall average grade equivalent to above 60% in Australia. The allocation of these scholarships will be determined through the admissions process when offer letters are sent out. Recipients of this scholarship may also qualify for other awards or scholarships but this scholarship cannot be held concurrently with a Dean’s Scholars Award.

    Dean’s Scholars Awards

    Value: 20% of tuition fees for the entire course duration

    Courses Applicable: All postgraduate courses of 12 months duration or longer

    Graduate Diploma of Business; Graduate Diploma of Management Information Systems; Master of Business; Master of Business Administration (MBA); Master of Management Information Systems

    Our Dean represents the most senior academic staff member of our Institution. As such, we have established the Dean’s Scholars Awards that recognise outstanding performance of recipients in their undergraduate studies. Applicants with a grade equivalent to above 70% in Australia in their institution will be considered eligible for this Award. Recipients of this scholarship may also qualify for other awards or scholarships but this scholarship cannot be held concurrently with an Academic Excellence Scholarship.

    Student Ambassador Awards

    Value: 10% of tuition fees while acting as an Ambassador

    Courses Applicable: All CIC courses

    Each year CIC engages a group of active, motivated and academically focused students to act as Institution Ambassadors. These Ambassadors play a critical role in the CIC community and for the student body as a whole. Students wishing to be considered as Ambassadors should have a positive attitude to student life, be engaged with lifelong learning, be prepared to be active in the student community and be open to engaging productively with staff and governance processes. Each year up to 5 Ambassador Awards will be made available to existing students. Recipients of these awards may also qualify for other awards or scholarships.

    *Scholarship/Award conditions
    1. All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of CIC.
    2. Scholarships will be considered ongoing for the full course duration, unless at least one of the following occurs:
      • the recipient fails more than one unit of study in the course (scholarship/award cancellation)
      • the recipient is found guilty of repeated misconduct, academic or otherwise (scholarship/award cancellation)
      • the recipient has been found in serious breach of the Student Code of Conduct (scholarship/award cancellation)
    3. Scholarships can only be applied to students undertaking courses requiring at least 2 semesters of full time (8 units) study at CIC.
    4. Scholarships will only apply to full-fee paying student applications.

    Ambassador Awards will terminate when/if a student no longer undertakes the roles associated with being an Ambassador of the Institution or when/if the recipient breaches the Student Code of Conduct and is no longer acting as an Ambassador for the Institute. This scholarship may be extended to full course duration at the discretion of CIC senior management.
