Winter Intakes in Germany (Timeline)

The winter intake is the principal one. All top German universities are available and accepting applications during this intake.

Months	Admission Procedure
October-December	To study in Germany, begin by choosing a university and a program. The candidate needs to sign up for IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, or GMAT.
January-February	Start the application and gather necessary documents such Statement of Purpose (SOP) and Letter of Recommendation (LOR), exam scores, and application essay.
March-April	• Hereon, students can check for any grants or financial aid. • Search for accommodation close to the institute or university. • Students can also apply for a college loan if needed.
May-June	By this time, students must submit their applications.
July-August	When a letter of acceptance is obtained, start preparing for the German study visa.
August-September	Start preparing for the journey by packing and buying the airline tickets.
October-December	After three weeks of arrival in Germany, students need to get a residence permit.

December-January	Hereon, candidates need to start submitting their applications to the institution. They must submit their application at least 5-6 months before the deadline. This step needs to be completed by mid-January. Ensure to fulfil the admission requirements. Afterwards, students need to start their visa application procedure.
February	Once the student has received the acceptance letter, they can enrol, fulfil all admission formalities, and pay the fees. They also need to prepare for accommodation and other utilities.
