Our programs are designed to suit your academic and English skills and prepare you for studying at university. We support you with personalised learning, small classes and social activities to help build your future at UNSW.
What is a Foundation Studies Extended Program?
A UNSW Foundation Studies Program is your supportive pathway to the First Year of any UNSW degree. Featuring a slower pace and more support, the Extended Program is a 15-month pathway that will help boost your English language and academic skills, while you become familiar and comfortable with university-style learning.
Our programs are designed to suit different academic and English skill levels, so you get the support you need from start to finish. This includes personalised learning, small classes and social activities to help build your future at UNSW, plus you’ll choose a specific learning stream that aligns with your degree.
Who is this program for?
The Foundation Studies Extended Program has been designed specifically for international students who have completed Year 11 with good general results, but need support in building crucial English and critical thinking skills needed for university. If you haven’t met the entry requirements for the Extended Program, try this program.
As a pre-university program, you can select the stream that best aligns with your chosen degree, so your learning is more tailored. By participating in lectures and tutorials, you’ll have the chance to improve your English and presentation skills in a supported environment that will prepare you for your degree.
