  • Age: The candidate must be at least 13 to take the test. Those under 13 are required to take consent from a parent or guardian.
  • Document: The candidate must have a valid government-issued ID with a photo on it to take the DET. This could be a driver's license, passport, or national ID card.
  • High-speed internet connection: Candidates need a stable internet connection to take the test as it is delivered online.
  • Device: You can take the Duolingo test with a webcam and microphone on a computer or laptop.
