Following their training focused on mastering the computer tools used in financial management, accounting technicians will be able to integrate easily into a small or medium-sized business. These people may occupy positions of agent or office agent in computerized financial management or any position requiring the qualifications acquired by the achievement of the objectives listed below. Having developed a lot of autonomy, they will also be able to earn a living as self-employed workers. In addition, they will be able to cope with technological changes and new work situations that their jobs will inevitably face them in the future.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Assist a manager in decision-making to resolve financial and general administration issues.
  • Record information as an accounting entry.
  • Collaborate in the management of accounts receivable.
  • Evaluate manufacturing costs.
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements and ratios.
  • Perform cost price calculations.
  • Complete tax returns.
  • Plan and organize financial activities (budgets).
