Herzing College began as Herzing Institute in February of 1965. Initially the institution was dedicated to computer technology training, but over the years, the college has expanded its breadth of career-focused education and has expanded geographically to include campus locations across the country. Our reputation is built on a foundation of high ethical standards, and a commitment to the success of our students and the communities and industries we support. In 2020, we are proud to celebrate 55 years!

Herzing College Montreal was founded in 1968. Admission Requirement

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Herzing College

  • International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
  • Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
  • Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
  • Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
  • You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Students

The Student Services Advisor works collaboratively with faculty and staff to provide guidance to students to assist them in overcoming personal obstacles. They are responsible for coordinating a variety of student support services. One of the main responsibilities is creating an effective learning environment.

The Student Services Advisor will assist students who are:

  • Struggling to function in the classroom
  • Returning to school after a long absence
  • Dealing with learning issues such as dyslexia

The Advisor will be able to direct students to the appropriate people at the campus who require additional student in the following areas:

  • Financial questions/problems
  • Admissions and enrollment issues
  • Logistics in terms of managing time and resources
  • Parking
  • Bus tickets
  • Academic questions or issues relating to grades, attendance, re-entry/re-enrollment or support for study and learning techniques

In addition, the Student Services Advisor is available to counsel students on and provide appropriate resources and referrals.

  • Provide support for students facing domestic issues or challenges
  • Provide support on emotional or mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
  • Work with students to develop interpersonal skills to interact effectively with others
  • Provide fundamental counselling with the goal of stabilization and referral
  • Direct students to in-depth counselling and support services that address their specific needs
  • Ensure that students in crisis are supported and provided with access to emergency services
