CELPIP Exam type
Over the last few years, the best general English test for immigration and professional designations in Canada is the CELPIP Test. Candidates take this test to show their proficiency in English language in a range of real-world contexts, including chatting with friends, reading news broadcasts, and interpreting and responding to written materials. There are two different CELPIP exam types available for the CELPIP test.

CELPIP- General Test
The four components of the CELPIP - General Test are speaking, reading, writing and listening. Each of which can receive a score between 1 and 12. The Canadian Language Benchmark Levels (CBL) are used to grade them.
- Listening- In this section of the CELPIP test, there are six practice tasks and 38 questions in total. The listening component lasts 47-55 minutes.
- Reading- The time allotted in this component is 55-60 minutes. The four practice tasks include Reading Correspondence, Reading to Apply a Diagram, Reading for Information and Reading for viewpoints.
- Writing- This component has a time limit of 53 to 60 minutes. You must write 2 tasks.
- Speaking- There are 8 component sections.
CELPIP- General LS Test
Speaking and Listening are the two parts of the CELPIP - General LS Test.
- Listening- In this section,there are six practice tasks and 38 questions in total. The listening component lasts 47-55 minutes.
- Speaking- Speaking component takes 15-20 minutes to complete. There are 8 Practice tasks to respond to.
CELPIP Exam Fee
There are some selected cities in the world where CELPIP- General Test is conducted. If you are planning to take the test, you have to register for it. The overall cost of the CELPIP-General Test is $280 including taxes. On the other hand, CELPIP - General LS Test which is available only in Canada is priced at $195 with taxes.

CELPIP- General Test
The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Start-up Visa Program, and a number of Provincial Nominee Programs all use the CELPIP-General examination as a single exam for applicants seeking permanent residence status in Canada. The test is ideal for refugees, immigrants, and job seekers.
CELPIP- General LS Test
The CELPIP-General LS exam evaluates a candidate's functional speaking and listening skills. Those who need to exhibit their speaking and listening abilities in order to become Canadian citizens are given this LS test.
