CAEL Exam Syllabus 2023
All Components have integrated skills | Test takers must perform a variety of tasks. Some of these tasks will require test takers to speak or write in response to a question based on what they have read and listened to. |
Fully computer-delivered | Take the fully computer-delivered CAEL test at home, online, or at one of its more than 40 test centers. |
The whole test time takes around 3.5 hours. | The exam provides results for four components: speaking, reading, listening, and writing. |
Each test contains unscored items. | Unscored items are utilized for test development in each test. These unscored items can be found throughout the test and follow the same format as the scored items. You will be unable to distinguish between scored and unscored items, so give the full test your all. |
