Program Overview

The Faculty of Arts is the largest and most diverse faculty at Laurier with 19 departments and interdisciplinary programming spanning a number of fields in the social sciences and humanities.

Arts courses provide opportunities for you to develop important workplace skills, whether you are working towards a career in business, education or the non-profit sector. You’ll learn to challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, think critically and work cooperatively. Most importantly, you’ll be able to put ideas and issues into local, global and historical perspectives.

*Students in the Faculty of Arts will complete their UTP studies at the Brantford Campus and, upon successful completion of the program, will transfer to complete their degree at Laurier’s Waterloo campus.

ARTS PROGRAM STRUCTURE
During the UTP Stage II: Faculty of Arts program you will study courses that introduce you to a wide range of disciplines, which can lead to programs in Global Studies, History, International Education Studies, Political Science, and more. The Faculty of Arts pathway offers students the flexibility to explore a diverse range of courses and help you choose the area in which you wish to specialize for your Bachelor of Arts.

Would you like to study for your undergraduate degree at a university that truly values community and believes in your dreams? Students starting in September 2024 could be eligible for a scholarship of up to $3500. Available to students who want to leave their mark in the WLIC community. The deposit deadline for guaranteed scholarships is May 1.


Terms and Conditions:
 

  1. There are a limited number of scholarships and they will be awarded at the discretion of WLIC.
  2.  Scholarship winners will be contacted by email if they have been awarded a scholarship.
  3. To receive the scholarship, winners must pay their full tuition deposit within 10 days of being awarded the scholarship.
  4. The country-specific scholarships will be awarded six weeks after the start of the intake and have no cash value. They will be paid over two terms as a credit on the students’ tuition account, approximately 50 percent for the first term and 50 percent for the second term. Students must remain enrolled to be eligible.
  5. Students must enrol and stay enrolled for the September 2024 term to qualify. Students who withdraw or defer to a later term at any time will not qualify.
  6. Scholarship recipients agree to have their names and scholarship values posted on WLIC social media.
  7. The scholarship cannot be deferred to future intakes.
  8. Scholarships cannot be combined with other scholarships.
