UTP Stage II: Business Administration is equivalent to the first year of SFU’s Bachelor of Business Administration. It provides the foundation for further study in many aspects of business and commerce to help you choose your area of specialization for your Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
SFU’s Beedie School of Business is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). Only one per cent of business schools worldwide have achieved these valued seals of quality.


Your Direct Pathway To Simon Fraser University

You must complete a minimum of 10 academic courses at FIC and have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.2 and with a grade of C- or better in the 10 required courses upon completion of your UTP Stage II Program to be guaranteed transfer to the Bachelor of Business Administration. Students with a 2.67-3.19 GPA will be able to make a broad-based application for the Bachelor of Business Administration. Students with a 2.5 GPA can apply through the Communication and Business Double Minor Program for admission into the Beedie School of Business Minor program. Course offerings and required courses may change without notice. Your UTP Stage II Program may include a mandatory non-credit academic literacy course. A student advisor can help you choose appropriate courses for the business minor program.

Concentration: Accounting

Accounting is more than crunching numbers, it identifies, measures, and communicates economic information to external groups such as investors, and to internal groups, such as managers. Take accounting courses in the core degree program as well as courses in tax, auditing, and advanced accounting.

Scholarships

Scholarship award value: CAD 5,000

Process of Application: After getting an offer, email to [email protected] to apply for Scholarship. A scholarship certificate will be issued to student after reviewing their academic profile.

Terms and conditions:

  • The scholarship cannot be combined with any other offers.
  • Students must complete the full tuition deposit within 10 business days of receiving the scholarship certificate.
  • The scholarship award will be disbursed over two terms as a credit on the student’s tuition account. They will receive C$2,500 for the first term and another C$2,500 for the second term.
  • Please note that remaining enrolled throughout the first and second term is a prerequisite for maintaining eligibility.
  • Kindly be informed that this scholarship opportunity is exclusively available for FIC students. Students from other programs will not be eligible.

Students who choose to defer their enrollment to a later term will, unfortunately, not qualify for this scholarship.
