University of New Brunswick - Saint John Campus University Overview

Canada’s oldest English University, the University of New Brunswick was founded in 1785. Firmly believing in the fact that innovation is the path to success, the university offers the students with amazing opportunities in the field of research and technology to spur discovery and higher knowledge. Taking education out of the education halls, the university offers its students with hands-on research, co-op programs and work terms, making it the nation’s most entrepreneurial university, as per Startup Canada.

New Brunswick has two campuses, Fredericton and Saint John. Saint John is situated on the Bay of Fundy, known for its highest tides and as a mariner wonder of the world. So besides studying, a student gets to explore the uptown area, community centers, social clubs, festivals, sports events and concerts, to name a few.

With a student crowd of over 10,000 people from 100 countries, the university is a cultural and a racial mix, giving the students a global experience, preparing them for a global future, a future that requires the students to think critically, innovatively and resourcefully and also helping them launch their businesses and companies.

University of New Brunswick - Saint John Campus Admission Requirement

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the University of New Brunswick

  • International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
  • Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
  • Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
  • Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
  • You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.
