Earn a bachelor’s and a master’s degree within five years through the Bachelor of Commerce + Master of Science in Management (with Research Project) (BCom + MSc MGT) accelerated program. Accelerate your learning and gain a unique academic background that enables you to stand out in the job market.

This program propels you into a project-based master’s by integrating two graduate courses during the last year of your bachelor’s. Get started on your research project in a familiar environment over the spring-summer term between your bachelor’s and master’s.

Building on your BCom degree, the MSc in Management with a Research Project gives you the opportunity to:

  • Conduct applied research in a specific area of concentration;
  • Use your advanced problem-solving skills to make an impact and inform practices within an organization dealing with similar challenges; and,
  • Work with internationally recognized supervisors to solve a concrete and crucial management challenge.’
  • Earn two degrees in a shorter amount of time by entering your MSc program full-time during the spring-summer bridge term.

 

Honours Bachelor of Commerce (Option in Finance)

This program is designed to equip students with the necessary financial tools for a career in either the corporate sector or investment. The theory and practice of financial management are combined with a comprehensive presentation of the financial instruments issued by corporations and modern valuation techniques. Students can extend their financial knowledge by focusing on derivative markets, and specialized topics in corporate and international finance. 


Master of Science Management (Research Project)

This exciting integrated accelerated bachelor’s/master’s program allows students to earn two degrees in five years.  Designed for students with a strong academic record and a keen interest in conducting business research, this integrated program enables select undergraduate students to get a jump-start in their project-based master’s program by completing two graduate courses during their last year of the undergraduate degree, and starting their research project in a familiar environment over the summer bridge term between the bachelor’s and master’s programs. This integrated program focuses on empowering students to develop their business acumen and research skills in a specialized field of study, and to contribute towards smarter decisions about policy and practice in creating a better Canada.

Faculty of Arts Dean's Merit Scholarship $4,000 ($1,000 per year)

The Faculty of Arts awards 10 of these renewable scholarships, each valued at a total of $4,000. Applicants must be enrolled full-time, and for the first time, in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Arts and have a minimum admission average of 90%. This scholarship can be renewed for the three following years provided the student has a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 9.00 or higher at the end of a term (with at least 24 units) and is enrolled full time at the Faculty of Arts. No application is required for this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded during the summer preceding your studies.

Faculty of Engineering Dean's Merit Scholarship Admission average of:
95-100% = $5,000
90-94.9% = $4,000

The Faculty of Engineering awards 35 of these scholarships to students with an admission average between 95 and 100% ($5,000) or between 90 and 94.9% ($4,000). Applicants must be enrolled full time, and for the first time, in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Engineering.

  • No application is required for this scholarship; all eligible students including international students are automatically considered for this award.

Faculty of Engineering Memorial Scholarship $2,000

The Faculty of Engineering awards this scholarship to seven female students—one from each of the engineering programs (excluding computer science). This $2,000 award is given to applicants with a minimum admission average of 80% and who best fulfill the eligibility criteria. To apply, students must submit a letter explaining why they are applying to an engineering program and also submit an up-to-date resumé highlighting their latest academic and extracurricular achievements. Applications must be submitted online.

Note: All female students admitted to the Faculty of Engineering, including international students, are eligible for this scholarship.
