Economics explains almost everything. Food prices. Gas prices. Political decisions. Personal choices. Interest rates. Taxes. All of it can be explained through economics. Through the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program at UNB, you’ll learn the foundations of economics and how it shapes our world. You’ll learn how to explain economic phenomenon, analyze economic impacts, and recommend ways to solve complex economic problems.

Why Economics at UNB?
At UNB 's Fredericton campus you have the option to complete an honours in economics and you will learn from faculty members recognized nationally and internationally for teaching and research. Small class sizes means greater interaction between you, your instructors, and your colleagues.

Hands-on learning:

  • Co-operative (Co-op) education program consisting of a minimum of three four-month work terms. Accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education.

  • Interpreting and communicating complex economic issues
  • Presenting solutions to solve economic problems or interpret markets
  • Implementing concrete economic strategies based on theoretical information
  • Conducting and explaining scientific research
  • Building models to explain and predict economic behaviour
