Program Overview

The ANU Bachelor of Engineering boasts many unique characteristics, but best of all, it is built on a 'multidisciplinary systems' approach. What does that mean? Successful engineers need to understand how disciplines work together. Our state-of-the-art education experience ensures that you will be able to design, analyse and manage the complex systems of the future.

This exceptional degree will not only allow you to excel in your career, but to also make a real difference and help to solve some of the world's largest problems.

Major: Electronic and Communication Systems
Electronic engineering is the fundamental discipline underpinning the design of modern technologies such as mobile phones and broadband wireless systems that are essential to everyday life and our future wellbeing. Electronic engineers not only design and build the electronic systems but also the communications and signal processing technologies and algorithms that are at the heart of the digital world. This major has a particular emphasis on providing training and diversity of experiences in both hardware and theoretical aspects of modern electronic and communication systems. In particular, graduates are exposed to hands on practical work and critical thinking in the discipline to equip them with the knowledge and skills to enable them to be adaptable across rapidly changing industries and environments.
