Diploma of Health Sciences

The Health Sciences program provides a good grounding in the many disciplines that exist within the field of health science. While the main focus is on biological and biochemical subjects, your studies will extend into chemistry, cell biology and anatomy. You will develop strong foundations for entry into the second year of a number of Griffith University degree level programs in health sciences.


Leading to: Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology

Learn how medicines are developed, tested and used safely to improve lives and protect communities. This degree gives you the scientific expertise to understand how drugs and chemicals interact with the human body. With a strong focus on practical learning and real-world application, this degree prepares you for a career at the intersection of health, science and industry.

Through hands-on lab work and applied projects, you'll build a deep understanding of pharmacology, toxicology and drug development, gaining insight into how safer and more effective treatments reach patients and communities.

    INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS

    Scholarships* are only available to new international students commencing in the Trimester 1 (March) or Trimester 2 (June) 2026 intake who have not studied at Griffith College in any previous study period.

    To qualify for a scholarship, students must:

    • Accept their offer by the cut-off date for each trimester
    • Meet all applicable conditions outlined in their Letter of Offer
    • Pay all relevant fees
    • Commence study in their accepted intake (no deferrals)
    • Remain enrolled past census date
