Program Overview

The Master of Professional Engineering is for aspiring engineers who want to obtain accredited qualifications to practise as an engineer in Australia and overseas, or for existing professional engineers to move into a different field of engineering. The program focuses on the knowledge and skills required to design solutions and manage engineering projects in a holistic way. For those from a science, environmental science or computing background who want to change careers to become an engineer, the Graduate Diploma of Engineering Science provides a pathway to the Master of Professional Engineering.

Major: Electronic Engineering
In this major, you will have the opportunity to investigate the technology, design and applications of devices and equipment that use electrical energy. You will learn to develop high technology systems that generate, store, distribute and use electrical power and gain technical skills in areas such as communications, power generation and electrical machinery. You will learn to use computer systems, lasers, and other tools to develop and improve the medical equipment used to monitor, diagnose and treat health problems.

    2024 Scholarships
    Academic Excellence Scholarship
    For all international students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs at Griffith University with a minimum GPA of 5.5 on a scale of 7.0. The scholarship covers 25% of tuition fees for the duration of the program and is awarded at time of program offer. The student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 5.5 for the continuation of scholarship.

    Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship
    Our Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship rewards exceptional students applying for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework degree programs at Griffith University. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for the duration of the program and requires a separate application process. Separate Application is needed.

    Eligibility
    To be eligible you must:

    • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
    • Have a minimum GPA in previous studies of 5.5 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent in the most recent recognised qualification.
    • We offer a range of scholarships and awards to support international students studying our undergraduate, postgraduate, research and pathway programs.
    • Satisfy all academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. Be a full-time student starting in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
    • Excludes the following programs: Bachelor of Medical Science, Bachelor of Dental Health Science, Doctor of Medicine, Master of Dentistry, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Speech Pathology and Graduate Diploma of Flight Management.
