LaSalle College Vancouver's Department of Student Services is committed to providing comprehensive student services that promotes student engagement, growth, and development for all students. Student Services does this by providing coordinated, intentional services that supports all of our students' individual academic and personal development.
- Academic Advising
- Academic advising is provided by Academic Advisors, Faculty, Program Directors, and the Chief Academic Officer. Students have access to advising services throughout their program of study. Advising services may be provided on an individual or small group basis, or even in a workshop setting, to help students manage their academic experience such as course registration, program progression and advice on available academic supports.
- Student Employment Services
- The Student Services Department can assist you in seeking part-time employment while you are a student. Many students find that part-time employment is an excellent way to help meet the financial obligations of a college education and also maintain a flexible schedule that allows for class time and study time.
- LaSalle College Vancouver offers some freelance job opportunities through which qualified students can receive valuable experience while working for local clients.
- International Student Advising
- LaSalle College Vancouver is proud to host students from around the world who have chosen to study here. If you are from another country, you are likely to have concerns about making a successful transition into a new culture. Many of your questions can be answered by the Student Services Department, which is available to help ensure a successful experience at LaSalle College Vancouver by assisting with housing, medical insurance, and campus resources. International students will find opportunities to take part in social activities with other international students and Canadian students as well. International students will find many opportunities to learn about Canadian culture and Canadian students have much to gain by getting to know international students and the cultures they bring with them.
- Student Clubs, Organizations, and Activities
- Student and professional organizations are an excellent way for you to grow personally and professionally, as well as to get involved in the decision-making process at LaSalle College Vancouver. These organizations are excellent forums for asking questions, making suggestions, and interacting with other students, faculty, and staff. If you are interested in starting a new organization not currently represented at LaSalle College Vancouver, contact the Student Affairs Department. If you are interested in joining an existing registered student organization on this list, please pick up a current student organization contact listing from the Student Services office. You may contact the organizations directly for more information about joining their group.
- There is a lot to do at LaSalle College Vancouver, such as workshops, guest speakers, career fairs, student socials in addition to the clubs and organizations oriented to your professional or personal interests. Not only can you enjoy taking part in activities, you will find it a great way to gain leadership experience that can contribute to your professional life.

- Disabilities Support Services
- LaSalle College Vancouver provides accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. The Office of Disability Support Services assists all qualified students with disabilities in acquiring reasonable and appropriate accommodations and in supporting equal access to services, programs and activities at LaSalle College Vancouver. Students who seek reasonable accommodations should notify their Academic Program Advisor or call the Director of Student Services at 778-373-8980 of their specific limitations and, if known, their specific requested accommodations. Students will be asked to supply medical documentation of the need for accommodation. Classroom accommodations are not retroactive, but are effective only upon the student sharing approved accommodations with the instructor. Therefore, students are encouraged to request accommodations as early as feasible to allow for time to gather necessary documentation. If you have a concern or complaint in this regard, please contact the Director of Student Services. Complaints will be handled in accordance with the school’s Internal Grievance Procedure for Complaints of Discrimination and Harassment.
- Mentoring
- Helps new students adjust to campus life. Peer Mentors are assigned new students within their program to meet with during the student's first quarter to provide support and guidance.
- Student Engagement
- Provides students the opportunity to represent the school at Admissions events and other campus programs.
- Health & Wellness
- Provides a wide variety of services including no-cost confidential counseling services to all students, 24/7.
- Student Safety
- At least one campus safety program is offered quarterly. It focuses on areas such as personal safety, identity theft, sexual assault prevention, and much more.
