Fleming College - Frost Campus (Lindsay) Overview

Fleming College, also known as the Sir Sanford Fleming College, was established in 1967. It is an open institute which was named after Sanford Fleming who was a well-known engineer and inventor. He is popular for the contributions he made to the concept of Universal Standard Time. The institute is associated with the Canadian Collegiate Athlete Association, ACCC, and Peterborough Centennial Museum & Archives. The institute introduced the College of Applied Arts and Technology in 1965. The college is managed and governed by the executive staff and a Board of Governors. Fleming College is known to be in partnership with Trent University.

Fleming College has more than 6,200 full-time and 10,000 part-time students, and 71,000 alumni. The academic structure of the college involves more than 100 full-time programs in Arts and Heritage, Business, Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, General Arts and Sciences, Health and Wellness, Justice and Community Development, Skilled Trades and Technology, and Continuing Education. The college is famous for its environment & natural sciences and social services. The variety of subjects gives students the opportunity to choose among the various courses as per their areas of interest.

The faculty members of the institute are experiences and provide ample knowledge to the students. The students are also exposed to practical workshops and industries. They also get a huge scope to go for the student exchange program. This allows students to learn about a different curriculum and gain exposure. In addition, the institute offers scholarship programs to students who have a good history of academic performance and co-curricular activities. This program is managed by the high authorities of the institute.

The institute comprises four campuses, namely Sutherland campus, Cobourg campus, Haliburton campus, and the Frost campus. Sutherland campus is the main campus which is located in Canada.
