Concordia University of Edmonton University Overview

In the year 1921, with the help of the Lutherans from the American Missouri Synod, the Concordia University of Edmonton was started as a junior college in downtown Edmonton. Then in the year 1926, the university was shifted to the Treaty 6 land, after its purchase from the Hudson’s Bay Company. And ever since, the university has become one of the most famous smaller universities of Edmonton.

Currently, the University offers graduate, postgraduate, after-degree and graduate certificate programs in over 45 subjects, the majors being Arts, Science and Management to about 2,000 students from Canada and 40 countries across the globe.

The small campus environment, the tightly knit community and the personal faculty interactions helps the students to grow and develop and become independent, responsible, self-aware and confident. Facilitating the interests and passions of the students, the university prepares the students to be strong, morally upright and independent leaders fulfilling their expectations towards their job and work.
