Program Overview

The humanities explore the diverse ways in which people express, understand and reflect on the human condition, providing insights into the values, beliefs and experiences that shape human life.

Focused on understanding human culture with special regard to the principles and ethics that underlie its laws, the B.A. in humanities-prelaw provides an interdisciplinary foundation in the humanities and the law.

This program cultivates skills that are key to success in law school: critical thinking, reading comprehension and clear communication.

You’ll develop and strengthen your ability to analyze complex situations, evaluate facts and principles and draw logical conclusions. You will learn to navigate and understand challenging texts such as court opinions and statutes and build proficiency in effective oral and written communication.
No matter which area of law you’re drawn to, the humanities-prelaw B.A. is a great choice for your prelaw education.
