Florida Atlantic University, established in 1961, officially opened its doors in 1964 as the fifth public university in Florida. Today, the University serves more than 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students across six campuses located along the southeast Florida coast and is ranked as a top public university by U.S. News and World Report.

FAU is an energetic and fast-growing institution, determined to propel itself to the forefront of innovation and scholarship. In recent years, the University has doubled its research expenditures and outpaced its peers in student achievement rates. Our students are bold, ambitious and ready to take on the world.

More than 70 percent of FAU's 29,000 students take classes at FAU's first and largest campus, and the majority of the University's 170+ degree programs are based here. Located less than three miles from the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful beaches of Boca Raton, the campus features everything you would expect from a modern university – suite-style housing for more than 4,500 students, brand-new athletics and recreational facilities, art galleries, a cafe/movie theater complex and so much more — all in a vibrant, tropical setting with a student body that is the most diverse among Florida's public universities.

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Florida Atlantic University

International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
Financial support statement (original bank statement and sponsor letter).
Passport identification page with machine-readable code visible
Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
