If you are passionate about education and educational policy our course in Education Studies will prepare you for a wide range of career pathways. You will have a wealth of opportunities to work with young people, helping educate them for a secure and equitable future. On this course you will explore a range of historical, sociological, philosophical and psychological issues. What underpins the course content of this modern degree is its firm intent on contemporary issues and their relevance to a successful career after graduation.   

You will critically evaluate education policies and practices and have an opportunity to discuss and analyse different educational settings nationally and internationally.

You will look at key issues surrounding inclusion for children and young people in education settings and examine the challenges inclusion presents to practitioners and wider society. There is a specific focus on the role of education in addressing issues of social justice in the module content. Different modes of delivering and experiencing teaching and learning, and the pivotal role of technology will be considered.

The interdisciplinary nature of the field means an Education Studies degree is great for working in international development organisations, NGOs, and charities. These sectors typically require graduates to have training in research methods, curriculum design, policy-making and real-life placement experience, all of which our Education Studies degree provides.
