International Scholarships Scheme 2026-2027

THE INTERNATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate-taught applicants and is automatically applied at offer stage. Awards are as follows:

The awards are £1,000 - £3,000 based on your academic achievements and level of study.

Undergraduate students will be awarded the International Merit Scholarship in each year of study

Students who complete all enrolment requirements and obtain their CAS by the Early Bird deadline will receive a £1,000 award on successful

How You Can Support Your Students

We encourage you to prioritise and support eligible applicants to:

• Accept their offers as soon as possible
• Complete all required payments and documentation
• Submit visa applications and upload evidence before the deadlines

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the £1,000 Early-Bird Incentive, applicants must:

• Be classified as Overseas for fee purposes (international fees)
• Have applied for an undergraduate or postgraduate-taught programme delivered by the University of Suffolk at the Ipswich campus
• Have applied to commence studies in the September 2026 academic year
• Undergraduate applicants must be starting in the first year of study
• Be studying on a full-time basis
• Complete the following steps by the stated deadlines:
  - CAS must be issued by midnight BST on 5 June 2026
  - Full tuition fee payment must be made at CAS deposit stage, prior to CAS issuance
  - Upload visa application evidence by 12 June 2026

Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship

The University of Suffolk Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship is a new and exciting scheme to reward exceptional international applicants who have a strong track record of academic achievement and show a commitment to having a transformative impact both during their studies and after graduation. This scheme is aimed at students intending to pursue one of our eligible professional health degrees.

We will be awarding fifty (50) Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence in Health Scholarships of £4,000 value each in the 2025/26 academic year.

Important information

• Undergraduate students will be awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Excellence in Health Scholarship in each year of study (excluding sandwich/placement/study abroad years - see terms and conditions below)
• This is not an automatic scholarship - eligible students will be invited to submit a scholarship application once an offer of admission has been made
• Scholarships are awarded as fee discounts

Bursaries and Scholarships

University of Suffolk Bursary

• The University of Suffolk Bursary is open to full-time and part-time University of Suffolk students starting an undergraduate degree programme in 2025-26. Successful applicants will receive a £500 bursary in each of their three years of study, subject to successful progression. Part-time students will receive £500 pro rata per year of study.

Ipswich Award

• The University of Suffolk is offering an exciting £1000 award for students starting on undergraduate courses at the Ipswich Campus.

Postgraduate Scholarships

There are a variety of Masters scholarships and bursaries are available for postgraduate degrees. Charities and government funding bodies all provide financial support for further study, helping to cover tuition fees and living costs. We have provided a list below of some available.
