Computers affect every part of our lives. Technology is rapidly evolving, and the need for computer scientists to work across almost every industry continues to grow. During this degree, you’ll work at the cutting-edge of technology. You will develop machine learning algorithms, web applications, and multi-platform games. You’ll put this experience into practice through short-term summer work placement modules. You’ll gain an understanding of the theoretical, scientific, and mathematical components of computing. This includes: algorithms for data processing and analysis software engineering principles and practices interactive entertainment and games programming You’ll also learn about software development, physical computing, and data management. You’ll gain an understanding of various programming languages, including Java, C++, and C#. We are members of the Amazon Web Services Academy and the GitHub Global Campus. During your degree, you will be taught by AWS Accredited Educators, GitHub Campus Experts, and Agile Scrum Masters.     Progression Scholarship FY SEP 2026:

    • The Community Scholarship for South Asia is worth £2500 for the first year. This can be combined with other scholarships, potentially increasing the total to £6500 in the first year and £4000 each consecutive year.
    • ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarship - £5,000 per year (up to 5 years for UG); £5,000 for 1 year (PG only) - ** Assigned on progression - if a students already has another scholarship confirmed (e.g. Vice Chancellors or GCS) they cannot combine these - they will be awarded the highest value scholarship only
