Program Overview

From small law firms to the United Nations International Court of Justice, the legal profession shapes every aspect of our society, politics and economics.

Law regulates how we buy and sell goods and services, and how we govern ourselves. It defines how we prosecute and defend, and how we secure the rights of people who may not be able to protect themselves. All of Swansea's Bachelor of Law (LLB) courses are qualifying law degrees.

Successful completion of this pathway will lead to Law, LLB (Hons) from Swansea University.

LLB (Hons) Law

Take the first steps towards a range of exciting and rewarding careers in law with our LLB Law Single Honours degree.

You will gain a comprehensive grounding in the core areas covered by a law degree. As your studies progress, you can choose from a wide range of specialised subject areas of law relating to medicine, human rights, family, the environment, trade, employment, and media, with an extensive list of over forty optional modules to choose from.

Throughout your undergraduate law degree, you will develop excellent research and analytical skills and learn to present your ideas effectively both verbally and in writing.

All of our undergraduate Law programmes contain the foundations of legal knowledge needed to enter the legal profession. Our programmes provide a strong foundation for students who may wish to take the Solicitors Qualifying Examinations (SQE) in the future, and satisfy the academic stage of training required by the Bar Standards Board for those wishing to become barristers.
