Program Overview

International Year One - equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, you’ll prepare for entry to the second year of an undergraduate degree in subjects including architecture, business, psychology and many more. With no additional study time, this pathway course to university means you'll graduate in the same amount of time as domestic students.

Leading to:- Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Accounting and Finance

Understanding accounting and finance is vital to speaking the language of business. UEA’s Accounting and Finance degree will help you master this language, giving you a huge competitive advantage in the business world. People who are highly literate in accounting and finance often rise to the top of businesses.  

In UEA’s Accounting and Finance BSc, you’ll learn financial accounting and reporting, and management accounting, alongside core business disciplines. This pairing will give you a broad foundation from which to enter a variety of career paths. Our teaching is constantly changing, informed by the fast-developing world of business and accounting research. At UEA, you’ll be at the cutting edge of the accounting and finance world. 

Throughout the course, you’ll develop your understanding of business finance and management accounting as you learn how to understand, interpret and act on the financial accounts of a variety of business structures. You’ll learn how to communicate an argument in a way that’s meaningful and persuasive to the key decision makers in that business. You’ll also learn how to use your professional judgment to understand and influence business decisions. You’ll even have the chance to explore how accounting influences wealth distribution in society, and how politics can influence accounting.

    Scholarships

    Scholarship for Sep2026 Intake 

    £10,000 Progression Scholarship for international students progressing to selected undergraduate degree programmes in the fields of Engineering, Physics, and Environmental Sciences.

    The scholarship will be awarded automatically with no separate application required and is available for each year of study. This means eligible students could benefit from savings of up to £30,000 across the duration of their study plan when progressing to UEA.
