As an international student, you might need, or benefit from, a pathway course before you start to a degree. A pathway course is often necessary because of different education systems of UK and your home country. The International Foundation Year offered by INTO Group, is perfect for international students who do not meet the academic requirements. It'll boost your academic and language skills, and improve your subject knowledge, to the level needed for entry to a degree at the University of Manchester.

International Foundation in Humanities and Social Sciences is a four-term program offered by INTO Group. It prepares students for direct entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree in a range of subjects including Accounting, Architecture, Finance and Management, Law Social Sciences at the University of Manchester. Students will develop the knowledge and skills for their chosen degree through a specialist pathway.

  • Explore the social, economic and environmental challenges facing the Global South across Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America.
  • Examine how global issues such as climate change, inequality and social justice are shaped by connections between the Global South and the Global North.
  • Learn to analyse global development challenges using interdisciplinary approaches from geography, politics and economics.
  • Develop the critical thinking and practical skills needed for careers in NGOs, governments, international organisations and the private sector.
