Program Overview

This five-year course takes the basics of BEng in Mechanical Engineering and delves deeper, with an emphasis on industry relevance.

You'll learn the principles of the field and use the latest technology to devise and implement practical solutions across a range of industry applications.

Scottish students who start this degree in September 2022 by direct entry to Year 2 or Year 3 of the programme, following an HNC or HND at a Scottish college, will be eligible for a bursary of £1200 in their year of entry to support their living costs in the transition to university. The bursary will be paid in two instalments of £600 in September and December 2022 following successful matriculation on the programme.     Merit-Based Scholarship for Indian Postgraduate Students

    Students applying to eligible postgraduate (PG) programmes who have achieved 70% or above in their qualifying qualification will now be eligible for an additional £1,000 Merit-Based Scholarship.
    This scholarship can be combined with our existing scholarship and payment benefits:
    • £1,000 Merit-Based Scholarship (for students with 70%+)
    • £3,000 South Asia Scholarship for eligible 1-year postgraduate programmes*
    • £1,000 South Asia Scholarship for eligible 2-year postgraduate programmes*
    • £500 Early Payment Discount for students who pay their full tuition fees at least one month prior to the course start date
    This means eligible postgraduate students can receive savings of up to £4,500, depending on their programme and payment timeline.
