Program Overview

Delve into the social study of crime, deviance and the criminal justice system. Understand crime and investigate the ways that it relates to areas such as social inequality, as well as different sections of society.

On this course you will be taught by a range of staff with relevant expertise and knowledge appropriate to the content of the unit. This will include senior academic staff, qualified professional practitioners, demonstrators, technicians and research students. You will also benefit from regular guest lectures from industry.

  • Develop your own piece of research based on a topic that interests you, or aligns itself with your future career, or study plans, in your final year dissertation
  • Gain knowledge on career pathways in the criminal justice system and the social sector from experts who have extensive contacts in the field.
  • Within fifteen months of finishing their course, 90% of our students are in work or further study.
