Data science for finance: this is the best way to describe our Master in Quantitative Investment Management (MQIM) program. This one-of-a-kind one-year graduate program will prepare you for a specialized career in quantitative investment management. The program equips graduates with the fundamentals of finance knowledge combined with analytic and programming skills, as well as professional development competencies demanded by the finance industry. 

Quantitative Investment Management integrates tools from finance, economics, applied mathematics, statistics and computer programming to address problems in derivative securities valuation, dynamic investment strategies and risk management. These skills are sought by investment and commercial banks, trading companies, hedge funds, insurance companies, corporate risk managers and regulatory agencies. 

After completing the MQIM you will be qualified for positions such as: 

  • Analyst 
  • Data Scientist
  • Portfolio or risk manager/associate
  • Quantitative analyst or developer
  • Trading associate

You will be qualified to work for pension funds, hedge funds, investment consulting firms, investment and commercial banks, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies, as well as any company that hires data analysts. Quantitative investment skills are in high demand!

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: To be accepted into this program, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a B average or minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.3. Preference will be given to applicants with degrees in mathematics, statistics, computer science, science, engineering, business, or economics.
