The University of Adelaide College was the first education provider in Australia to offer a postgraduate pathway course to a Group of Eight university. We developed these specialised Pre-Master’s Programs so you can follow your path to a range of master’s degrees.
 

Program benefits

• Upon successful completion of your Pre-Master’s Program, you are guaranteed entry into your packaged postgraduate degree at Adelaide University.
• You’ll have the flexibility of studying a Pre-Master’s Program in one to three study periods. Students enrolled in the trimester-based master’s destinations will study three University courses, while students enrolled in the semester-based master’s destinations will study four University courses.
• Learn the academic knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in your postgraduate studies.

Leading to: Master of Finance

The Master of Finance offers a versatile and hands-on curriculum to hone your advanced technical abilities in analysing, interpreting, and evaluating financial data and market landscapes. You'll explore emerging trends in banking and finance, emphasising ethical, social, regulatory, economic, sustainability and global viewpoints. Additionally, you'll undertake independent research and apply professional judgment to tackle intricate banking and financial challenges.

Graduate with the expertise to work in a specialist role across the finance, investment banking or corporate finance sectors.

What you'll learn
 

In two years of full-time study, you’ll develop the skillset of a modern finance professional.

During the initial year, you will explore analytical methodologies essential for business operations, economic principles, accounting practices, and core financial concepts. Additionally, you will acquire skills to determine the inherent value of equity instruments and gain insights into fixed-income securities. You’ll also examine ethical frameworks, fostering integrity, transparency, and fairness – quintessential attributes for professionals in the finance sector.

The second-year curriculum encompasses an in-depth exploration of derivative markets, investment strategies, and financial statement analysis. Customise your learning experience by selecting from a diverse range of elective courses, including blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, big data analytics, financial modelling, and real estate financing and investment. You will also have the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience through industry-aligned projects tailored to your interests and career aspirations.
