Our specialised Degree Transfer Programs are equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree at university. You can follow your path to a range of business, IT, computer science, science undergraduate degrees and more when you join the second year of university.

Major: Networking and Cyber Security

Our Bachelor of Information Technology majoring in Networking and Cyber Security provides you with a solid foundation in IT principles. Learn the fundamentals required to design and develop network solutions for businesses and individuals.

You will gain strong skills in creating and securing IT infrastructure and information. Develop in-depth knowledge of cloud concepts, IT infrastructure architecture, and technological defence methods. Then, put your skills into practice with a real-world project in your final year. What you'll learn

The degree starts with common core courses in IT, before broadening your scope with specialised courses in Networking and Cyber Security. This ensures you have a strong base in IT principles and practices and gives you a great grounding for your future career. These common first year IT courses also offer you the flexibility to switch between majors and other programs, including the Bachelor of Computer Science, Bachelor of Cyber Security and Bachelor of Software Engineering.

You’ll learn about security and networking of business information systems and gain an in-depth theoretical understanding in advanced networking and network security.

A collaborative project with an industry client in your final year will build important professional relationships. You will take part in a design brief and project execution with a major focus on drawing on your technical expertise and professional skills.

Assessments for this degree include skills demonstrations, presentations, exams, oral and supervised tests.  

You’ll be able to complete majority of first year common courses and second year courses at either our Adelaide City or Mawson Lakes Campus with some potential cross-campus study required. Throughout your degree, you’ll gain access to cutting-edge facilities across both campus locations to enhance your overall learning experience.
