Degree Transfer Program Accelerated

Our specialised Degree Transfer Programs are equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree at university. You can follow your path to a range of business, IT, computer science, science undergraduate degrees and more when you join the second year of university.

 

Program Benefits

  • Learn content relevant to your university degree and receive full credit for all university-level courses.
  • You’ll be provided with English language and learning support to assist you while you’re studying the Degree Transfer Program.
  • As our graduate, you won’t be required to provide further evidence of your English language proficiency.
  • You’ll have the flexibility of studying a Degree Transfer Program in one of three formats: extended, standard or accelerated.

 

Leading to: Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Analytics

This degree will build broad business knowledge while developing specialised skills in analytics. Learn fundamental business principles in accounting, finance, economics, management and company law. Explore the intricacies of business analytics, predictive analytics and chatbot design. Take hands-on courses in data-driven decision-making. Cultivate leadership expertise and learn to solve real-world challenges. Build skills in teamwork, strategic thinking, communication and cultural competence. Upon graduation, you’ll be equipped to problem-solve at the highest level and excel in business and management roles.

 

What you'll learn
 

Master the skills needed to operate effectively in professional, business-related and technical contexts. In your first year, build your foundational knowledge across a range of business disciplines. You will learn about accounting, finance, economics and leadership and understand the basics of business analytics. From your second and third year, you’ll take specialised business analytics courses, including:

  • Operations and customer analytics
  • Predictive and visual analytics for managers and consultants
  • Chatbot design and prompt engineering
  • Business simulation and decision analysis
  • Business analytics in practice
  • Minds and machines
  • Business applications for artificial intelligence.

You’ll have opportunities to customise your learning by selecting three elective courses throughout your studies. Choose electives in distinct areas of business that interest you the most, or opt for an overseas exchange. In your final year, you’ll complete an industry placement to explore your career prospects and build real-world experience.

    Scholarships

    The University of Adelaide College International Scholarship rewards the international graduates of the University of Adelaide College.

     

    This scholarship is:

    • Available for graduates of the University of Adelaide College commencing at the University of Adelaide.
    • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand); and
    • Provides a waiver of 10% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the degree.

     

    Value
    The scholarship offers a 10% tuition fee reduction for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholar's chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

     

    Eligibility
    To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

    • Be a graduate of the University of Adelaide College;
    • Have a University of Adelaide offer of admission (full offer or conditional offer) as a full-fee-paying international student;
    • Enrol in a full time study load for each study period of the degree;
    • Complete the acceptance process as outlined in your offer of admission.

    Note: Scholarship applicants who are eligible for more than one scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide will only be entitled to receive one scholarship (the highest value scholarship award for which they are eligible).

     

    Exclusions
    The following applicants are not eligible to receive these scholarships:

    • Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one degree to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfers)
    • Students who are recipients of a scholarship covering tuition fees awarded by a recognised scholarship awarding body such as a government ministry or department
    • Applicants for Masters by Research or Phd programs;
    • Applicants for certain programs; see the scholarship terms and conditions for a list of excluded degrees.
