INTERNATIONAL UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS
 - 2025-2026

Meridian Scholarship

FALL ENTRY ONLY

  • Highly competitive scholarship for first-time college students
  • Full tuition, fees, room and board for four years
  • Estimated value of $30,000+ per year
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (A=4.0) required to apply
  • Additional application required; deadline November 15

Geographic Enhancement Opportunity (GEO) Award

  • 50% reduced tuition rate for all academically qualified students
  • Minimum savings of $10,000+ per year
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 (A=4.0) or ‘B’ average required
  • No additional application required

GEO+ Award

  • In-state tuition available after the first year
  • Complete 24 credits at SIUE with a grade of ‘C’ or higher to qualify
  • Average savings of $14,000+ per year
  • Available to continuing SIUE international students
  • No additional application required

 

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE STUDENT

SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS - 2025-2026

Geographic Enhancement Opportunity (GEO) Award

  • 50% reduced tuition rate for all academically qualified students
  • Minimum savings of $8,993 per year
  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (A=4.0) or ‘B’ average required
  • No additional application required Graduate

Competitive Graduate Award (CGA)

  • Highly competitive research scholarship for master’s-level students
  • Full tuition for one year and research assistantship
  • Minimum savings of $17,294 for one year + stipend
  • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA (A=4.0) in undergraduate program required
  • Admission application to academic program and scholarship application must be completed by January 15

Graduate Scholar Award (GSA)

  • Competitive scholarship for master’s-level students
  • Full tuition for one year, fall and spring semesters
  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 (A=4.0) or ‘B’ average required
  • Applications for this award open in January with a deadline of March 1
