University of Central Lancashire - Preston Campus Overview

The University of Central Lancashire is a public university in Preston, Lancashire, England. Its origins can be traced back to the 1828 establishment of the Institution for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. Following that, it was known as Harris Art College, then Preston Polytechnic, and finally Lancashire Polytechnic before being given university status by the Privy Council in 1992.
