University Overview

Operated by the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, Crandall University is a small Christian Liberal Arts university located in Moncton, New Brusnwick, Canada. Established in 1949 under the name United Baptist Bible Training School (UBBTS) as a Bible School, the name was changed in 1970 to Atlantic Baptist College (ABC) offering bachelor’s programs. The institution expanded its horizons further and consequently the name was changed to Atlantic Baptist University (ABU) in 1996. On August 21, 2009 it was announced that the institution had changed its name to Crandall University in honour of Rev. Joseph Crandall, a pioneering Baptist minister in the maritime region.

Crandall University (CU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. At present Crandall University houses over 800 students from all over the world. This program is designed to equip students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of the concepts of Education. The program offers courses that focus on the study of research, and administrative and support services related to learning and teaching.

Crandall University is situated in a picturesque location, at a 200-acre site in New Brunswick. Crandall’s exceptional faculty, favorable 13:1 student-to-professor ratio and renowned academic programs set it apart as a campus students are proud to call home. Crandall students and employees contribute to their community through service in local schools, prisons, nursing homes, summer camps, hospitals, churches, immigration support groups, service clubs like Rotary, and street-level non-profit agencies designed to serve those who are marginalized and in need of support.

Admission Requirement

The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to the Crandall University

  • International students are considered on a case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the program you are applying to.
  • Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
  • Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
  • Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
  • You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.

Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.
