University Overview
Canada’s only women university, Brescia University College was founded in the year 1919 by the Ursuline Sisters who had devoted their lives to community service, development of women and social justice. Brescia University College is affiliated to Western University which means that as a student, you can read in a small and a supportive environment while still using the resources of Western University, the third largest university in Ontario.
With over 11 per cent international students, the college is known to be motivated by academic excellence and thus focuses on providing all its students with an actively engaged experience so that their graduates can lead with compassion, wisdom and justice in this changing world.
Even though the roots of the Brescia University College are in the Catholic Church, it welcomes women of all faiths, beliefs and religions to learn from compassionate and learned professors who mentor you and provide you with endless opportunities to enhance your leadership skills so that you can learn your best and ultimately make a difference to yourself and the world as well.

Admission Requirement
The following requirements must be fulfilled to get admitted to Brescia University College
- International students are considered on case-by-case basis. There can be some additional requirements, depending on the programs you are applying to.
- Students are required to submit their original transcripts from their last attended academic institutions. If they are not in English, then submit the translated copies of the same along with the originals.
- Should provide the certificate issued by the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) that compares educational credentials from other countries to educational standards in Canada.
- Applicants must be 18 years old at the time of the beginning of the course.
- You need to submit your English language proficiency test scores if you are coming from a non-English speaking country.
Please note: If you are not a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada, you must obtain a valid study permit before you come to Canada.

Bresica University College located in London, Ontario, is catholic liberal arts women’s college established in 1919 and affiliated to the University of Western Ontario. Bresica is most famous for being the sole women’s only university level academic institution in Canada. Although Bresica is a Catholic college it however accepts students from all faiths and countries all over the world. BU has 1350 full time students and 200 part time students.
