Weber State’s graphic design program trains creative students to push forward in the face of a difficult problems and challenging critiques to become professional graphic designers.

Weber State’s KVAC Digital Media Lab is one of the best-equipped in the Intermountain West.

Weber State hosts an annual portfolio review event, where you can receive feedback on your portfolio of work from and network with WSU graduates who have become professional designers. Graphic design seniors also participate in the AIGA portfolio review in Salt Lake City, often returning with offers for employment or internships.

What You’ll LEARN at Weber

Weber State’s graphic design program is built upon a solid foundation of visual fundamentals, typography and design history.

Your studio projects will mix practical and experimental approaches to increase your self-discipline and problem-solving abilities, and you’ll master software including the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver).

    Scholarships are awarded based on merit. Available for students new to Weber State, transfer students and continuing students, scholarships are awarded based on criteria such as:

    • Academic performance
    • Activities or interests
    • Community service
    • International status
    • Academic departments
    • Unlike student loans, scholarships do not need to be repaid. Depending on the award, they may or may not be renewable.
