Program Overview

TCC's Accounting program prepares students for employment in a wide variety of business accounting environments. The program structure is progressive, leading to four levels of achievement associated with increasing levels of job responsibility. The CERTIFICATEs can be taken as stand alone options or applied to the Associates in Applied Sciences degree. TCC also offers specialized accounting CERTIFICATEs in Computerized Accounting and Tax Preparation. This program is not intended for transfer to most four year colleges and universities. Students who plan to transfer should meet with the program chair prior to program enrollment.

    TCC SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION


    GLOBAL CAMPUS

    Select number of newly admitted degree seeking F-1 international students to TCC may be awarded the $500 scholarship. A total of 6 awards per year (2 for Fall, 2 for Winter and 2 for Spring). To be eligible, students must
    have submitted a New Student Registration form prior to arrival, attend the new student orientation on its first day and be present in the room when the scholarship recipients are announced. The $500 award is disbursed to
    the student account during the 2nd quarter of enrollment.


    INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT

    Current F-1 international students enrolled in full-time college level classes (100 level+), have completed 36 college level credits at TCC, and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the International Student Academic Achievement Scholarship. This scholarship honors our high achieving international students each year, and scholarships are worth $1,000 each.


    INTERNATIONAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP

    Current F-1 international students enrolled in full-time college level classes (100 level+), have completed 36 college level credits at TCC, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher are eligible for the International Student Leadership scholarship. Documentation of leadership activities and/or contributions to the college and/or community is required. Scholarships are valued at $500 each.


    ELLEN PINTO: OUTSTANDING STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

    The Ellen Pinto Outstanding Student of the Year Award serves to acknowledge high academic achievement, contributions to the TCC learning environment and service to the surrounding community. First place receives a $1,000 scholarship and the runner ups (or second place) receive $500 each. The student must be nominated by a college employee to be considered.

    The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarship programs are designed to encourage and support outstanding students who work hard and have financial need.
