General Admission Requirement

    Academic Requirement

    • Minimum Level of Education Required: To be accepted into this program, applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree in computer science from a regionally accredited college or university or a baccalaureate degree in any other field with additional prerequisites.
      • Prerequisites (for non-computer science majors) with a grade of "B" or higher:
      • COSC 501 - Fundamentals of Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis
      • COSC 502 - Computer Organization and Assembly Language for Non-CS/CIS Major, as determined by the graduate program director. 
      •  MATH 263 - Discrete Mathematics (MATH 263 is not required for students who have an engineering or mathematics baccalaureate degree.)
      • Students may repeat prerequisite courses no more than two times to be eligible to take graduate-level courses.
