Program Overview

An economics degree from the Mount can help you gain the knowledge and skills necessary to lead modern organizations through volatile markets with sound economic decisions.

Courses include macro- and microeconomics, mathematics for economic analysis, money and banking, strategic thinking and game theory. You’ll also learn about management science, the business and economics of sports, applied economic analysis and econometrics. International business concepts, including trade, investments, economics and globalization will also be covered.

Complete your experience with an internship and participate in the Federal Reserve Challenge; a team competition against other colleges where you’ll analyze the current economy and make policy recommendations before a panel of Federal Reserve economists.

With an economics degree, you’ll be able to pursue a career as an economic forecaster with a publicly traded company, a financial analyst for a regional bank, or a budget analyst with a local municipality.
