The Graphic Design Program at Lane Community College is a nationally award-winning program that will launch your graphic design career in branding, advertising, web design, illustration, page-layout, packaging design, and production for digital and print. Regardless of where you want to go with your career, Lane will give you the experience and network that you’ll need for today’s competitive job market.

If you want to earn a living through your creativity, the Graphic Design program at Lane is right for you! By learning to interrelate both traditional and digital skills, this program unlocks your potential as an artist and a creative. You’ll develop your organizational, communication, and problem solving skills through independent and team projects. Your eye for design and ability to communicate a message through your designs will flourish.

Lane’s Graphic Design Program is nationally recognized. All students in the program participate in a capstone project, The Bleed, a 52-page student produced annual magazine about art and design. In 2016, The Bleed was honored with the Associated Collegiate Press Pacemaker Award, the highest award achievable in North America for editorial design. In addition, the Bleed received third place for Best of Show at the awards ceremony in Washington D.C. for that year.

The Bleed was also a finalist for the Pacemaker Award in 2017, and an individual student design within the 2017 Bleed Magazine received 2nd place for the ACP Design of the Year Award.
