Master of Law in International Law Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania

A Master of Law programme delivered by leading practitioners and experts in the field of international law within an innovative and vibrant environment aimed at increasing the employability of those who want to work globally.

This 1.5-year programme of 90 ECTS, delivered in English, builds upon the University’s value of preparing students for the future. It provides students with the choice of specialising in either Public International Law or Private International Law and offers several subjects in both fields. It will assist students who wish to work for international institutions, state departments, diplomatic missions, international law firms, international businesses and non-governmental organisations:

• Through practical teaching, including role playing and moot courts, students will get to learn how to use skills such as legal research, legal writing, legal reasoning and advocacy in different fields of international law;
• They will learn how to use soft skills such as problem solving, strategic thinking and leadership;
• These will be applied in experiential, case-study based scenarios, where students will get to see how these skills are used in real-life international law issues, developing a practical awareness of how international law works;
• Students will explore contemporary issues of global concern;
• These soft and other skills are globally desired.

The University provides strong student support and is a member of many local, regional and international networks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an official partner of the program and experts from across the world are invited to deliver talks. Students are also provided with the opportunity to travel abroad under the institutional Erasmus+ and Nordplus mobility network.

The programme is delivered by leading practitioners and experts. This includes many country specialists and present and former international and constitutional judges, officials of international organisations and litigation specialists. All contributors are actively involved in international scholarship and research, including in international human rights law, sustainability, compliance, cyber security, international humanitarian law, international family and succession law, and international dispute resolution, etc.
