Program Overview
The Faculty of Science at Wilfrid Laurier University offers a wide variety of undergraduate programs across seven academic departments and are home to several leading-edge research centres.
Science faculty members are engaged in high-quality research, the advancement of scientific knowledge and the application of that knowledge to real-world problems. They bring their expertise and enthusiasm for research into the classroom. Many undergraduate students find opportunities to enrich their learning through involvement in Laurier research projects or through co-op work experience.
The Faculty of Science is committed to offering high-quality programs in the pure and applied sciences. We share with the rest of the university a commitment to offering students a supportive environment and an enriching experience that prepares them for future success.
*Students in the Faculty of Science will complete their UTP studies at the Brantford Campus and, upon successful completion of the program, will transfer to complete their degree at Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
SCIENCE PROGRAM STRUCTURE
During the UTP Stage II: Science program you will study courses that introduce you to a wide range of disciplines, which can lead to programs in Data Science, Computer Science, and Financial Mathematics. Students will complete their UTP Stage II studies at the Brantford Campus and, upon successful completion of the program, you will get transfer to the second year of Bachelor of Science (Honours ) - Data Science degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Data Science (Honours BSc)

The first undergraduate degree of its kind in Canada, our Data Science program addresses the data-related needs of modern business industries.
