The School of Information Studies, located in the Faculty of Arts, offers a graduate diploma in Information Management and a Master of Information Studies (MIS).

The graduate diploma program is intended both for those who have recently completed an undergraduate degree wishing to enter a career in the field of records and information management, and for those already working in the field who wish to upgrade their qualifications.

Students in the program complete one compulsory course before taking an additional five elective courses to fulfill the 18 course units for the graduate diploma.

Scholarships

Excellence scholarships are awarded through a competitive process among the top candidates with an admission average of 90% or higher who apply for admission by April 1, 2024, and whose admission has been processed by April 15, 2024. Candidates whose first choice is the University of Ottawa will be favoured. Recipients must start their program in September. Insofar as possible and to maximize diversity, each faculty will award the same number of scholarships.
