Whether you are undecided on which path to take in technology and engineering, or have a passion for multiple disciplines, this 3-year bachelor is a flexible program that takes an experiential learning approach through internships, labs, and mentorship. 

The program trains students who are seeking to combine subsets of engineering knowledge and technology skills with other fields of study. The structure of the curriculum allows students to specialize in an area after their first year of study or continue with a multidisciplinary focus. Stream options:

  • Technology and public policy
  • Responsible AI innovation
  • UX designer

Internship placements will also be completed over the summer months during the first and second year of study. Unlike other programs, the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Design offers every student an equal opportunity in the admission process with lower barriers of entry by considering not only marks, but your passion for the program and character.

Scholarships

Excellence scholarships are awarded through a competitive process among the top candidates with an admission average of 90% or higher who apply for admission by April 1, 2024, and whose admission has been processed by April 15, 2024. Candidates whose first choice is the University of Ottawa will be favoured. Recipients must start their program in September. Insofar as possible and to maximize diversity, each faculty will award the same number of scholarships.
