Scholarships

Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (USES)

The Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (USES) are for both domestic and international high school applicants who demonstrate potential to enrich the university community through ongoing academic and community contributions.
 


Minimum Requirements

  • Applying to SFU for the Fall term
  • Currently completing final year of high school OR graduated from high school in the past year and have not enrolled in any post-secondary courses
  • Meet admission requirements to primary program choice in any SFU faculty
  • Have grades in the 90% range OR 31 IB points, excluding predicted bonus points, in courses required for admission to primary program
  • Demonstrate excellence in both academic and extracurricular activities
  • Can have two complete references – due by January 31, 2026
  • Can complete all items on Student Centre To Do List – due by January 31, 2026

Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship (USES)

October 1, 2025 USES application opens. Applicants will need to apply to SFU first and have their SFU student number to access the scholarship application.

January 31, 2026 Supporting documentation deadline. This includes references and all admission items on the To-Do List

mid-March - May 2026 USES winners announced

Note:

  • Simon Fraser University offers the Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarships (USES) on an annual basis, specifically for the Fall intake.
  • The application period for the USES scholarship is from October 1 to December 15 every year.
  • We encourage eligible students to apply within this timeframe to be considered for this prestigious scholarship opportunity.

 

Lloyd Carr-Harris Scholarship

Scholarship Overview The Lloyd Carr-Harris Entrance Scholarship is offered to an entering high school applicant of the highest academic standing as a direct admit to the Beedie School of Business.

The Bennett Family Entrance Scholarship

Scholarship Overview

The endowment supporting the Bennett Family Entrance Scholarship was established in 2019 with a generous gift from Jim Bennett. One entrance scholarship will be offered annually in the fall term to an applicant entering SFU from Holy Cross Regional High School (Surrey, BC).

Only eligible applicants from the Undergraduate Scholars Entrance Scholarship competition will be considered for this opportunity.
