Associate of Arts Degree

The Associate of Arts Degree at LaSalle College Vancouver is a dynamic way to earn credits toward a university degree while exploring your interests and gaining a broad foundation of knowledge. Transfer to: Bachelor of Integrated Studies

The Bachelor of Integrated Studies—UFV's most customizable degree program—lets you choose from over 100 courses from various disciplines and programs, so you can earn an undergraduate degree tailored to your personal career and academic needs. As part of the program, you draw on a mixture of in-class and online learning opportunities, field-based courses, and professional learning experiences to achieve competency in six core areas:

  • Effective communications
  • Scientific literacy
  • Digital
  • Use and analysis of numerical information
  • Intercultural engagement
  • Professional and applied skills

The Bachelor of Integrated Studies is an excellent option if you want to pursue interdisciplinary studies, combine minors, or change your educational focus partway through your degree. You can also include credits earned while completing a certificate or diploma at UFV or other accredited community colleges or universities.


How to Transfer from LCV to UFV 

Transfer between 30-60 credits from your Associate of Arts Degree Complete at least 60 additional credits at UFV to earn your Bachelor's Degree Credits are evaluated and based on an accepted official transfer agreement between LaSalle College Vancouver and UFV

Eligibility Requirements
You can apply to UFV after you have completed the following at LaSalle College Vancouver:
  • ENGL 103
  • And one of the following:
    • Minimum 30 credits in courses numbered at the 100-level and above, with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 on all credits attempted
    • Minimum of nine credits at the 100-level and above in suggested BA or BIS degree pathway, transferable to a degree program, with a minimum GPA of 3.00 on all credits attempted

Scholarships

  • AoA bursary: will change from October 2024 onwards. Current applicants can pay deposit before February 15, 2024, to keep bursary of CAD$10,000 for one intake. All new applicants for these intakes will be eligible for CAD$7,000, except for the students who are accepted and pay their deposit before February 15, 2024.  Flyer attached for your reference.

 

  • AoA Alumni bursary: this is a one-time bursary for LCV AoA graduates up to Sep 2024 who want to switch to a bachelor degree program for the Oct 2024 intake. They will be eligible to do their degree program against their original AoA bursary rates!

 

  • Scholarships: For Oct 2024, LCV will only have one scholarship to apply for and this is for bachelor degree students only and they can opt to apply based on talent (portfolio), athletic, academic (grades) experiences. Deadline is July 1, 2024, for accepted LCV applicants. Scholarships are limited and competitive.
